Obituary of Fairrie Rayfield

LEXINGTON: Funeral service for Fairrie Ann Rayfield, 71, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Rev. Don Bell and grandson, Rev. Greg Neely. Interment will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. Saturday prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church, General Checking, 4238 Augusta Rd., Lexington, SC 29073. Mrs. Rayfield, widow of William Harrison Rayfield, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Born in Batesburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Joel Davis Lorick, Sr., and Mary Lorick Rucker and Ernest G. Rucker. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Rayfield was retired from Olympia Mills and Pinkerton Securities. She enjoyed a variety of music. Surviving is her daughter, Susan Rayfield Keaton (Steve); sons, David William Rayfield and Ernest Glenn Rayfield (Rhonda) all of Lexington; brother, Joel Davis Lorick, Jr. of Greenville; six grandchildren, Sonya Miller (Scott), Kristi Neely (Greg), Dustin Keaton, Melissa Rayfield, Amanda Rayfield, and Jessica Rayfield all of Lexington; fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Infant Lorick and her beloved dog Scooter.
