I was remembering today, how much of our lives Winkie and I spent together, the fun that we had and the things we used to do. Winkie always like having people around. And when she was at home, her door was always open to friends, neighbors and family. You did not need an invitation, you were always welcome. Winkie enjoyed her life doing the things she wanted to, whenever she wanted to. She loved her Church and her Church Family. She was involved in many things at the Church as well as with her neighborhood. Most of all, her family. I think she was most happy when it was time to start cooking for her Round-the-Table, her gift to anyone who wanted to come. She will truly be missed by many. But remember Winkie is still living her life in a more beautiful place. She just went home.

Winkie was a great neighbor and dear friend. She was caring and committed herself to helping others. She had an easy laugh and always wanted to know "what 'cha doin". She loved to stay busy, and keep things moving. She had a very positive and lasting impact on my life. My heart aches for the family and friends who grieve for her. I loved Winkie and I will miss her.

Dear Wanda, I am sorry for your loss. I had known Winkie since 1954. She and my mother Kathleen were long-time friends and neighbors. The old neighborhood will not be the same without her. Sincerely, Carleen Regal Sexton
