Obituary of Christine Litton

Christine Kennedy Litton Cayce—Graveside services for Christine Kennedy "Mama Chris" Litton, 80, of Cayce, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Woodridge Memorial Park. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia will be assisting the family. Mrs. Litton, widow of Gus Holston and Herman John Litton, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Born in Kingstree, SC, she was the daughter of the late Palmer Kennedy and O'Neal Duke Kennedy. Mrs. Litton has been a long time resident of Cayce, SC for more than 30 years. She recently moved to Mount Pleasant and attended Miles Road Baptist Church in Summerville. She was retired from Seibels Bruce Insurance Company. Mrs. Litton had a great love for the beach and the mountains. She performed many volunteer services for senior citizens throughout the years. Surviving Mrs. Litton are her sons, Fred Holston (Kimberly) of Mount Pleasant and John T. Litton (Joan) of Lexington; daughter, Lynda Fletcher (Milt) of Cayce; brother, Jerry Kennedy (Ruth) of Florence; grandchildren, Tommy Holston (Angie), Dustin Holston (Danielle), Nicole Litton, Walker Garrison, Blake Fletcher, and Hope Hartley; great grandchildren, Luke Holston, Ethan Holston, Logan Holston, and Hayden Holston, the first great grand daughter who was born on the day of her passing. She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Kennedy. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Litton's honor to SPCA (Humane Society) 121 Humane Lane, Columbia, SC 29209.
