Obituary of Reba Brown

BATESBURG: Graveside service for Reba Jean Brown, 79, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Ed Lynch. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Mrs. Brown passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Born in Webster Springs, WV, she was a daughter of the late Andy Frank Doddrill and Phala May Walker Doddrill. Mrs. Brown's favorite pastimes were bowling and bingo and playing cards. She was very good at Rummy. She loved her animals. Surviving are: her loving husband of 52 years, Gerald G. "Gabby" Brown of Batesburg; daughters, Valerie Arnold (Bobby) of Virginia, Glenda Yount of Batesburg and Anita Gabel-Brechko (Brian) of Lexington; son, Gerald L. "Gerry" Brown (Dean) of Lugoff; sister, Carolyn Edens (Wilbur) of Phoenix, AZ; five grandchildren, Josh Gabel, Daniel Gabel, Haley Gabel, Crystal Lawson and Monte Rabon; five great grandchildren, Gabriel Barrett, Chet Rabon, Blake Lawson, Leila Rabon, and Jaxon Rabon.
