Obituary of Ann Smith

GILBERT: Funeral service for Ann Blair Smith, 76, will be held at 11 o'clock Friday, April 13, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Rev. Bob Dunn. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church, 161 Beulah Church Road, Gilbert, SC 29054. Mrs. Smith, widow of Robert L. Smith, passed away April 6, 2012. Born in Bristol, TN, she was a daughter of the late Sylvestor V. Shaver and Margie Lee Bolling Shaver. She was the owner/operator of a clothing store. Survivors are her children: Ricky Bruce Howton, Sebring, FL, Ronny Lee Howton, of AL, Shirley Ann Lindsey, Sunset, KY, Theresa Ann Davies, Morriston, TN; sisters, Susie Smith of Bristol, TN and Betty Lou of Ratcliff, KY; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a step-son, James Lee Smith.
