Obituary of Ginger Gross

Ginger Murphy Gross CAYCE—Funeral services for Ginger Gross, 70, of Cayce, SC, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012 at Broadacres Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. William Geddings and John Hert. Interment will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mrs. Gross, widow of Alvis J. Gross, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Leroy Murphy and Margaret Louise Arnold Murphy. Mrs. Gross was retired from Chicago Title Insurance Company and she was a member of Broadacres Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Gross are her daughters, Jennifer G. Ripper (Adam) of Concord, NC, and Suzanne Gross of Cayce; sisters, Mickey Murphy Timmons of Newberry, June Chrysostomides (Andy) of Columbia, Risa Murphy Garris of Lexington, Shirley Haithcox of Southport, NC, and Kathy Fleming of Leesville; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Shelly Kay Gross and Ann Gross, both of Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Johnston Gross and grandson, Alan Lee Busbee.
