Obituary of Naomi Holladay

WEST COLUMBIA—A graveside service for Naomi Watts Holladay, 83, of West Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 in Southland Memorial Gardens. Officating will be Rev. Dr. Clinton Lawyer. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia will assist the family. Memorials may be made in Naomi's honor to West Side Baptist Church, 2100 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Holladay, beloved wife of the late Harold W. Holladay, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012. Born in Gaston, she was the daughter of the late James Harley Watts and Susie Lavonia Jeffcoat. She was a lifetime area resident and a member of West Side Baptist Church. She retired from Belk Department Store after many years of devoted service. She was a loving sister, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl Holladay Watson (Mike E.) of Lexington; three grandchildren, Holly, Beth and Erica; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Hayden, Becca and her "Booger" Jose; brothers, Art Watts of West Columbia and Wilbur H. Watts (Barbara) of Gaston. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles R. Holladay; siblings, Joyce, Robert, Norman "Bill" and Dixie.
