Obituary of Christine Rowell

Christine Elizabeth Rowell, 86, of Columbia, SC passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Christine, the daughter of the late Albert and Florrie Walters, was born on September 20, 1925 in Lee County. She is survived by her husband of more than 55 years, William Charlie Rowell. She is also survived by her children, Phyllis (Buddy) Millsaps of Kings Mountain, NC, Betty Jo Schwamborn (Bob Revere) of Columbia, SC, Fred (Melanie) Rowell of Lexington, SC, and Bobby (Julie) Rowell of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Chrissy (Jerry) Jenkins, Danny (Kim) McCurry, Nicki (David) Matthews, Trevor (Amanda) Schwamborn, Chase Rowell, Zachary Kibler, Bryce Rowell, and Whit Rowell; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Leo (Doris) Walters of Cassatt, SC; brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces, and nephews. Christine was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Columbia, SC and was a retiree of the Richland County School District. A celebration of life for Christine will be held Monday, May 7 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC. Visitation and viewing will be at 11am and funeral services will be at 12pm.
