Obituary of Fletcha Rabon

LEXINGTON: Funeral services for Fletcha Purvis Rabon, 85, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Cayce, officiated by Rev. James Young and Rev. Bryan Rabon. Interment will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cayce, 600 Holland Avenue, Cayce, SC 29033. Mrs. Rabon, widow of Carol Rabon, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012. Born in Cayce, SC, she was a daughter of the late Theodore Dewitt Purvis and Pauline Jeriah Herlong Purvis. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cayce; and was retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 30 years of service. Survivors are: her daughter, Suzanne Young (Rev. James L.) of Graniteville; son, Carol Rabon, Jr., (Patti C.) of Gilbert; four grandchildren, Bryan Rabon (Dawn), Tim Rabon (Joni) David Young and Jeriah Owens (Bradley); also six great grandchildren. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Carroll Campbell Place and Lexington Extended Care for their excellent care and support.
