Obituary of M. Jackson

WEST COLUMBIA: Mr. M. Clifford Jackson, 76, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Thursday, May 03, 2012. Born in Polk County, NC, he was a son of the late Philip Jackson and Bessie Justice Jackson. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. Mr. Jackson retired from Palmetto Baptist in 2000 as Chief Engineer and Master Electrician. He loved fixing up old Massey Ferguson tractors and loved listening to Willie and Waylon. Survivors are his loving wife, Loretta Mack Jackson; daughter, Sheryl Jackson Royals (Dale) of West Columbia; son, Clifford E. "Gene" Jackson (Debbie) of Springdale; sisters, Bonnie Gilbert of Concord, NC and Ruth Hoots of Hendersonville, NC; brother, Grady Jackson of Mill Springs, NC; four grandchildren, Joshua Jackson (Ashley), Jacob Jackson (Jessica), Jenifer Gooding (Nick) and Brandon Royals; also eight great grandchildren. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul E. Jackson and Thomas E. Jackson. Funeral services for M. Clifford Jackson, 76, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Crossroads Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Shane Phillips. Interment will follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick Mack, Ryan Mack, Mitchell Gilbert, Lindsay Mack, Glenn Mack, Rembert Mack, Ronnie Jackson and Richard Jackson. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p. m. prior to service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
