Obituary of Kimberly James

GASTON—Funeral services for Kimberly "Kim" James, 46, of Gaston, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Harmony Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Tim McIver. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Pelion. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Ms. James passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012. Born in Fayetteville, NC, she was the daughter of Sidney "Pete" Sharpe and Elizabeth "Lisa" Sharpe. She was a lifetime area resident and a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She was currently employed at Intralot, Inc. She was a hardworking, loving mother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Surviving are her sons, Allen Thompson II (Brittany) of Gaston, Michael Brandon Thompson of Gaston and Christian Dakota Thompson of Cayce; sisters, Wanda Tindal (Lester) of Lexington, Betty Poole of Lexington, Melissa Sharpe of West Columbia, and Tangy Green (Melvin) of Columbia; very special aunt, Miriam "Mimi" Pace and numerous nieces and nephews; and longtime boyfriend, David Youngblood.
