Obituary of Henry Rast

PELION: Graveside service for Henry Lee Rast, 65, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Woodridge Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Richard Coleman. Mr. Rast died Sunday, June 3, 2012. Born in St. Matthews, SC, he was a son of the late Johnnie Lee Rast and Julia Martin Rast. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received the Bronze Star. Mr. Rast was a member of Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Lexington; and was a former employee of Southeastern Freightline. Survivors include: his loving wife, Sharon K. Rast of Pelion; sisters, Teresa Gleaton (Frank) of Hopkins and Janie Still (Gerald) of Swansea; and a brother, James David Rast (Vicki) of Swansea. Mr. Rast was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Pearl Furtich.
