Obituary of Margaret Watts

by her family. A memorial service will be held for her on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 845 Leesburg Road, in Columbia. The family will receive visitors at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Margaret was born in Memphis, Tennessee, the daughter of Lucille Haynes Rockett and Carson Horace Rockett. She attended Central High School in Memphis. Margaret retired from Richland County School District I, where she worked for many years as the supervisor for the school records department. Margaret is survived by her sister and best friend, Marianne Rockett Williams, of Auburn, Alabama. Margaret was blessed with four children that she loved with all her heart. She was pre-deceased by her elder son, Edward Patrick (Pat) Rockett. She is survived by her other children: Leigh Watts Bolick, of Columbia; Gary Watts, Jr. (Susan), of Lugoff; and Jane Watts, also of Lugoff. Margaret had two grandchildren, Blake Bolick, of Charleston, and Taylor Watts, of Lugoff. She is also survived by a great-grandchild, Gage Watts. She will live on forever in their hearts. Margaret was full of life and laughter. She loved Elvis Presley, the Gamecocks, music and dancing, particularly ?Dancing with the Stars.?
