Obituary of Norville Griest

COLUMBIA—A graveside service for Norville (Duke) Griest, 90, of Columbia, will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2012 in Southland Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Project Pet, PO Box 1777, Columbia, SC 29202 in his honor. Mr. Griest, beloved husband of the late Myra Jennette Griest, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2012. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Norville Griest and Anna Boyle Griest. He retired from for the Department of Social Services after many years of devoted service as an accountant. He showed love of his Country, serving in WWII and Korea. He is survived by his caretakers and many friends.
