Obituary of Theresa Stevenson

Columbia—Funeral services for Theresa Anderson Stevenson, 59, of Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Pastor Darrell Wood. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Broome, Charlie Stroud, Jr. and Jason Broome. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Monday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Stevenson passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012. Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Dewey David Anderson and Goldie Edna Wright. She was a lifetime area resident and a devoted member of Palmetto Baptist Temple. She devoted her time to take care of the elderly. Surviving by her daughter, Fran Stevenson Peterson (Steve) of West Columbia; grandchildren, Pierre Stevenson and Chrysta Stevenson; sisters, Brenda A. Simmons of Lugoff, Marilyn Anderson Hatfield (Chuck) of West Columbia and Dolores "Dolly" Anderson Stroud (Charles) of Gaston and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Christopher; brother, Dewey David Anderson, Jr. of Augusta, GA and a sister, Kathie Faye Lohr of West Columbia.
