Obituary of James Driggers

WEST COLUMBIA—A graveside service for James Franklin Driggers, 78, of West Columbia, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012 in Southland Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Dr. James Thompson III. The family will greet friends following the service. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family. Mr. Driggers, widower of the late Eva Sharpe Driggers, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Marvin Dreher Driggers and Mary Clemons Driggers. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from Spring Mills formerly known as Olympia Mills. Surviving are his son, Christopher Driggers of West Columbia; three grandchildren; sister, Shelby J. Driggers of Columbia; brother, Charles A. Driggers(Claudia) of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a brother, David (Billy) Driggers.
