Obituary of ANGELO STAMOS

Angelo Peter Stamos, 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. He was born December 24, 1934 in Achladokambos, Greece to the late Peter and Patricia Stamatelos. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and owned and operated Zip Kleen Dry Cleaners for 40 years. He was a member of the Shriners with the Jamil Temple and the Lower Richland Masonic Lodge. Mr. Stamos was very involved with the Boy Scouts, and volunteered his time with the Indian Waters Council. In addition, he held a doctor?s degree in scouting. He was a longtime member of the Greek Orthodox Church, and was a member of the AHEPA Chapter 284 for 50 years. Surviving are his loving wife, Jackie Henderson Stamos; three sons, Peter, Billy (Jennifer) and James; brothers, Paul (Helen), John and Gus; nephews and nieces, James Benton, Joshua Benton, Mary Beth Stamos, Peter (Gina) Stamos and Van (Elizabeth) Stamos. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Columbia with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with Wake Service to follow at 8 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road Columbia, SC 29209. Memorials may be made to the Lower Richland Masonic Lodge or to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
