Dear Family & Friends, Although we did not personally know PJ (Patrick J.) Long, we were sorry to learn of his unfortunate death. And while we do not know exactly how you feel, God certainly knows accurately how you feel. His word therefore promises that He will forever eliminate death, it's cause and resurrect those who have fallen victims to it. Marvelous good news indeed! (Isa. 25:8, Rev. 21:3,4, John 5:28, 29) For the time being, we naturally that we mourn the death of someone that we love because God did not create humans to die. As you probably know, the bible said in Geneses 1:27 " In God's image He made man" and God lives forever. Since we were created in His image, we too were created to live forever. You may ask: 'Then, why do people die if it was not in God's original plan?' Any defects in humans including death is as a result of human imperfection. Deuteronomy 32:4 exclaims "that all of God's works are perfect". and verse 5 says that "the defect (or imperfections) is our own". But how is that so? Do you remember the account in Genesis when God told our first perfect human parents, Adam & Eve to be obedient and not eat from nor touch a certain tree in The Garden of Eden? They sinned by disobeying, passing on sin to us. Thus, death spread to ALL men as if we ALL committed that original sin (Roman 5:12). Will this continue forever? No. For death is an enemy says the bible and all of God's enemies WILL be brought to nothing! (1 Cor 15:26). That truly is good news! Thanks for reading this letter. Please share it with other grieving family members & friends. It is our hope that you've found comfort in the scriptures today. Sincerely, The Crump Family

My father, Edward Rucker, and my mother, Elizabeth, named me after my Uncle PJ. What a privilege to have been named after such an honorable man! I also grew up in the house that he built with such love and care! Thank you, Uncle PJ, for all you have done for me and my family through the years! You and Daddy enjoy Heaven until the rest of us join you there soon! I love you and will miss you until then...

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Please find comfort in the resurrection promise at John 5:28 that reads: "Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the graves shall hear his voice and come forth."

I will always be thankful that I was able to be home with you, Papa, in your last days. I was able to hold your hand, give you kisses and tell you that I loved you. I still love you. I will always love you. Gram is in good hands. We will take care of her until she can be with you, again. Happy Fathers Day!!
