Obituary of Alvin Myers

COLUMBIA—Alvin Myers, 63, entered into eternal rest on June 17, 2012 at Palmetto Richland Hospital among his hospital family and friends. Mr. Myers is predeceased by his parents Edward Myers and Estelle Bryant, brothers Andrew and Tommy. He is survived by a sister, Doris Strickland (Gary) and brother, John Myers, plus a host of friends at Palmetto Richland. Alvin wanted to express words of sincere thanks to everyone at Palmetto Richland for their generosity and excellent care he received during his lifetime. Graveside service will be in Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W. Dunbar Road, West Columbia on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. led by Rev. Joe Watson pastor of Main Street United Methodist Church, where Alvin was a member for many years. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family.
