Obituary of Bruce Duke

LEXINGTON: Funeral services for Bruce Freeman Duke, 51, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at White Knoll Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Ken Stafford. Interment will follow at Billy Matthews Cemetery, Batesburg, SC. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 190 Knox Abbott Dr., Ste. 3301, Cayce, SC 29033 or to White Knoll Baptist Church, 742 Kitti Wake Drive, West Columbia, SC 29170. Mr. Duke, husband of Mary Beth Duke, died Monday, June 18, 2012. Born in Dover, DE, he was a son of Trudy Turner Duke and the late Talmadge Freeman Duke. He was a member of White Knoll Baptist Church; he loved his family and enjoyed the outdoors. Survivors include his mother, Trudy Turner Duke of Cayce; his loving wife, Mary Beth Duke of Lexington; sons, Chris Duke of Columbia and Josh Duke of Sterling, VA; sisters, Lynn Lambert (Wayne) of Gaston and Candi Huge (Chris) of Mt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Brianna, Sarah and Justin.
