Obituary of EDITH CURRIE

A graveside service for Edith Currie will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road Columbia, SC 29209. Mrs. Currie passed away on June 28, 2012. She was born October 26, 1926 in Brun, Czechoslovakia. Mrs. Currie was a Red Cross Volunteer at the Moncrief Army Hospital, and was a member of the Jewish Community of Columbia. Surviving are her children: son, Peter Currie and family; son, Ellis ?Tex? Currie and his daughter, Melissa Lynn Currie and wife, Deborah Walden; daughter, Sylvia Paris and her children, Tony Paris and wife Kyra Hyatt and her grandchildren, Preston Paris and Alana Paris. Mrs. Currie was predeceased by her parents, and her husband, Ellis R. Currie.
