Obituary of William Heath

William S. Heath, Jr Columbia, SC William S. Heath, Jr, 87, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012. He was born February 7, 1925 in Dorchester, SC to the Rev. William Smith Heath and Eloise Jackson Heath. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism. William was a veteran of the Navy and served in World War II and Korea. He was retired from BB&T Boyle Vaughan Associates. Bill was a former member of the Cayce-West Columbia Sertoma Club, member of the Shandon United Methodist Church and the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class. Surviving are his wife, Georgia H. Heath; sons John of Denver, Colorado, Thomas of Silver Springs, Maryland and James of Columbia. William is also survived by his four grandchildren. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday morning July 3, 2012 at 11A.M. in the Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel 845 Leesburg Road Columbia. Visitation will take place from 10 A.M. until time of the service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in William?s memory to Shandon United Methodist Church 3407 Devine Street Columbia, SC 29205.
