Obituary of Virginia Mae Campbell Ketchum

GADSDEN: Services for Virginia "Ginny" Mae Campbell Ketchum, 84, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Pastor Mark Williams. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Ketchum, wife of James H. Ketchum, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012. Born in Pomeroy, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Harold Rouze and Lucille McKinney Rouze. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church. Mrs. Ketchum was retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield and then moved to North Carolina. She and James resided in Virginia after their marriage, in 2002 in North Carolina and retired to South Carolina in 2004. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. Survivors are: husband, James H. Ketchum of Gadsden; daughter, Deborah J. Berdan (Chauncey) Newfane, VT; sister, Verna Peterson (Wayne) of Story City, Iowa; brother, Dale Rouze (Pam) of Garland, TX; three grandchildren, Chad Trager of Lucedale MS, Harold Watkins of Grand Prairie, TX and Randy Watkins of Longview, TX; five great grandchildren, Chandler Walters of Little Elm, TX, Taylor Watkins of Florida, Chandler Watkins of Grand Prairie, TX, Reis and Allie Trager of Moss Point, MS and multiple other family and friends. Mrs. Ketchum was preceded in death by a son, Terry Watkins and a brother Donald Rouze.
