For thirty plus years she was a dedicated First grade Sunday school teacher at Northside Baptist Church with her best friend Edna Busbee, where she was a faithful member since 1964. Her hobbies included cooking for her family, recipe books, crossword puzzles, and flowers. She leaves behind her children: Robert Bruce Wilkinson Jr. (Belinda), Sara Lee Pearman (Ben), retired Colonel John Lloyd Wilkinson (Beccy) of Colorado Springs, Co., grandchildren John Lloyd Jr. of Denver, Ashley Marie, and Christina Ann Wilkinson of Colorado, Mattie Ann, Joseph Edward, Robert Bruce (III) and Jackson Early Barnett Wilkinson of West Columbia, sisters-in-law Caroline Livingston Jackson of Orangeburg and Marina Claire Wilkinson Smith of West Columbia and many loving nieces and nephews. She will be received with a "Well done, My good and faithful servant" whose faith for and salvation by Jesus is accompanied by her earthly endorsement of her being the most devoted wife, the most excellent mother, a most loved grandmother and the kindest friend and lady of the old school. She denied the reward of possessions, sacrificed for her family, and remained a true servant of our Biblical instructions for our earthly duty. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, officiated by Dr. Lonnie Shull. Interment will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, nephews, John Ervin Anderson and John Louis Jackson and family friend Robert Blackwell.
