Obituary of Nancy Long Donahue

GILBERT—Funeral services for Nancy Marie Long Donahue, 60, of Gilbert, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Pastor Greg Boyd. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Donahue, beloved wife of Albert R. Donahue, Sr. passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Fred S. Long, Jr. and Ruby Lee Long. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving in addition to her husband of 23 years Albert R. Donahue, Sr. of Gilbert; daughter, Tracie M. Donahue of Lexington; sons, Lonnie B. Gross (Denise) of Gilbert, Tracey B. Gross (Anna), Albert R. Donahue, Jr. (Lisa), Jessie R. Donahue (Heather) all of Lexington, Jodie L. Donahue (Danielle) of Washington; brother, Bobby L. Long (Gloria) of Anderson; sister, Linda L. Eyers (Kendall) of Elgin; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Scott Gross, brother, Fred S. Long III, and three grandchildren.
