Obituary of Aubrey Shultz

A funeral service celebrating the life of Aubrey Dale Shultz, 75, of Eastover, SC will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Horrell Hill Baptist Church, 920 Horrell Hill Road, Hopkins, SC 29061 with full military honors and interment will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at the church. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawn-columbia.com. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Dale as he was affectionately called by family and friends departed this earthly life on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. He was born in Spartanburg, SC to the late John L. Shultz and Grace Roland Shultz. Dale was a deacon and faithful member at Horrell Hill Baptist Church. He retired from the United States Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant after 20 years of dedicated service to our country. After retirement, Dale was proud to be the road manager for country music singer, George Jones. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Dorothy Seiple Shultz; daughters, Shelby Groves (Donny) and Karen Moody (Bill); sons, Steve Shultz (Dawn), Aubrey Shultz (Sherry), and Ronny Shultz (Julie); his sisters, Judy Good (Frank) and Renee Morrow (Danny); his brother, Tommy Shultz (Elaine); ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
