Obituary of Jeanette Blackwelder

GASTON—Funeral services for Jeanette Pellum Blackwelder, 77, of Gaston, will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church in Swansea. Officiating will be Rev. David Carter and Rev. Steve Kittrell. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. - 12 noon prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Blackwelder, beloved wife of Donald Ray Blackwelder, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012. Born in Green Pond, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin Pellum and Annie Lou Warren Pellum. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Swansea. Mrs. Blackwelder retired from Horsman Dolls and was a retired co-owner and operator of Blackwelder Sales. She also was owner and operator of Aunt Net's Daycare in Gaston for many years. Surviving in addition to her husband of 28 years, Donald Ray Blackwelder of Gaston; sons, Joel Winston Dangerfield (Rebecca) and John Curtis Dangerfield all of West Columbia; step-daughter, Rebecca B. Haas of Columbia; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister, Lois Bunton of Walterboro; and many loving nieces and nephews who knew her as "Aunt Net". She was preceded in death by three sisters and nine brothers. I lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church Mission Fund, 123 Faith Church Road, Swansea, SC 29160.
