Obituary of Judy Sightler

GASTON: Funeral services for Judy Elaine Craps Sightler, 66, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Gary Hanks, Pastor Terry Byrd and Evangelist Marvin Sightler. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Sightler went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 10, 2012. Born in Gilbert, SC, she was a daughter of the late Hollis McCoy Craps, Sr. and Catherine Sturkie Craps. She was a faithful and loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who enjoyed music, teaching children and singing in the church choir. She will greatly missed by her loved ones and church family. Survivors are her husband of 49 years, Evangelist Marvin G. Sightler, Sr.; daughter, Donia Miller (Ricky) of Gaston; sons, Marty Sightler (Hazel), Timothy D. Sightler (Rebecca) and Tracy McCoy Sightler (Amy) all of Gaston; seven grandchildren, Bradley M. Sightler, Carl Ray Sightler, Joshua Carson, Timothy Dale Sightler, Jr., Brittany Sightler, Jalanene Sightler and Bobby Sightler; four great grandchildren; also seven brothers and sisters. Mrs. Sightler was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters.
