Obituary of Gita Gilbert

WEST COLUMBIA: Graveside service for Gita Gilbert, 67, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012, at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans), P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250. Mrs. Gilbert, widow of SFC. David Paul Gilbert, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. Born in Lawrence, MA, she was a daughter of the late George J. Hajjar and Alice Raymond Hajjar. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church; and was an avid bowler. Surviving are her sons; Robert Gilbert (Katryn) of Martha's Vineyard, MA, Daniel Gilbert (Nikki) of Lexington, and Jason Gilbert (Shannon) of Lexington; sisters, Joanne Hale (Paul) of Salem, NH and Nancy O'Brien (Scott) of Lewiston, ME; five grandchildren, Taylor, Ally, Bryson, Owen and Carson; nephews, Willie Hale and Roger Naylor.
