Obituary of Elizabeth Player

A funeral service celebrating the life of Elizabeth T. Player, 70, of Hopkins, SC will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Gerald Hughes officiating. Private entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Agape Hospice House, 141 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210 in Elizabeth?s memory. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawn-columbia.com. Mrs. Player departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 19, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born in Darlington, SC to William Tedder and Geneva Marshall Tedder. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Reverend Franklin E. Player. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Those left to cherish her precious memories are her four children, Michael Player (Bridget) of Charleston, Debra Worley (David ) of Pelion, Richard Player (Teresa) of Little Mountain and Sharon Tharp (Eric) of Pelion; seven grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Agape Hospice House for their love and compassion.
