Obituary of Ruth Kelly

CAYCE—A graveside service for Ruth B. Kelly, 88, of Cayce, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Suggs. The family will greet friends following the service at cemetery. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia will be assisting the family. Memorials may be made in Ruth's honor to Alzheimer's Association, 3223 Sunset Blvd., Suite 100, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Kelly, beloved wife of LeRoy Kelly, passed away on Friday, August 31, 2012. Born in Lexington County, she was the daughter of the late Tom Bachman and Annie Ferrell Bachman. She was lifelong resident of Cayce and a Life Member of Cayce United Methodist Church. She retired from Southern Bell after 45 years of devoted service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Surviving in addition to her husband of 47 years, LeRoy Kelly of Cayce; daughters and sons-in-law, Joette McCoy (Derral) of Cayce and Wanda Tucker (Danny) of Marion, NC; grandchildren, Rebecca Shirley, Leah Tucker, Naomi Tucker, Daniel Tucker and Phillip DuVall; plus many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks go out to Tidewater Hospice Nurses and employees.
