Obituary of Marjorie O'Neal

COLUMBIA—Marjorie Dean O'Neal, 86, of Columbia, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012. Born in Lyles, TN and raised in Hickman County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Earl Connelly and Avvie Hailey Connelly. She has been an area resident since 1961 and a member of Long Creek Church of Christ. She worked with her husband at O'Neal Upholstery. Surviving are her husband, Dock Lee O'Neal of Columbia; daughter, Phyllis O'Neal Bruff of Lexington; son, Dock Connelly O'Neal (Patti) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Jessalyn O'Neal, Dock O'Neal, Jr., Derek Bruff, Jared Bruff (Linda), Kathryn Norman (Ryan) and three great-grandchildren; brother, Darrell Connelly of Columbia, TN. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Connelly. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Dickson, TN. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington.
