Obituary of Frances Brooks

A graveside service celebrating the life of Frances J. Brooks, 87, of Hopkins, SC will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 in Greenlawn Memorial Park with Reverend J. Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service on Thursday at Greenlawn Funeral Home. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mrs. Brooks departed this earthly life on Monday, September 3, 2012. She was born in Saluda, South Carolina to William and Elee Harmon Jones. Mrs. Brooks was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and she also retired from the Richland County Probate Court. Mrs. Brooks was predeceased by her husband, Charles Edwin Brooks, her parents, and six siblings. Surviving are her loving daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Brooks Cox and Russell Cox; her loving grandsons, Harmon and Baker Cox; two sisters, Lois (Marvin) Hyatt and Dell Seigler; a brother, Jerry (Linda) Jones; other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
