A funeral service celebrating the life of Carmeletta ?Carmen? Winkler, 65, of Lexington, SC will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home. On-line condolences may be sent to www.greenlawn-columbia.com. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Carmen as she was affectionately called by family and friends departed this earthly life on Friday, September 14, 2012. She was born in Lafe, Arkansas to Arthur and Emma Massey. Carmen retired from the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation. Carmen was predeceased by her parents, and five sisters. Those left to cherish her precious memories are her devoted friend and longtime companion, George Krausz; her sisters, Dorothy Hill and her husband, Robert Hill of Davidson, Michigan, Betty Hargraves of Pontiac, Michigan, Maxine Craft of Lafe, Arkansas, and Debbie Carter and her husband, Joe Carter of Rector, Arkansas; her brothers and sister-in-laws, Larry and Dawn Massey of Lapeer, Michigan and Wallace and Georgia Massey of Rector, Arkansas; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
