Obituary of Billy Beville

A graveside service for Billy Earle Beville, 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2012, in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Bill Oswald. Greenlawn Funeral Home is assisting the family. Mr. Beville passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Born on August 23, 1927, in Mims, FL, he was a son of the late Daniel Beville and Janie B. Studstill Beville. He proudly served his country for 20 years. After retiring from the Army, he worked for the Columbia Police Department and then as a Security Officer for the State Midlands Center where he retired as well. Mr. Beville is survived by his wife of 61 years, Akiko Beville of Kyoto, Japan; his daughters, Barbara, Diane and Janie; his son, Mickey (Debbie); two granddaughters, Isabel Beville and Heather Neeld a great grandson, Emmit Whelton; brothers, Thomas A. Beville (Dorothy), Mickey Joe Beville (Barbara), and Richard Beville (Martha); also many nieces and nephews all from Mims, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one?s choice or the Scholarship Fund for Isabel Anna Beville c/o Akiko Beville @ SC Federal Credit Union 4617 Forest Drive Columbia, SC 29206. Mr. Beville was loved deeply by his family and friends, and will be remembered as a great fisherman and hunter, and storyteller. He was generous with his family, and loved deeply as well by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
