Obituary of Mary Swygert

Funeral services for Mary Plock Swygert, 79, will be held at 3pm Sunday, September 30, 2012 in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington. Reverend Tommy McGill will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-9pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Swygert passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012. Born on November 11, 1932, in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Plock and Beatrice Ames. Mrs. Swygert is survived by her sons, John (Brenda) Swygert of Inman, SC, Freddie Michael (Regina) Swygert of Lexington, SC, Bill (Jenny) Swygert of Edisto Island, SC, JQ (Lyn) Swygert Jr., Kevin (Lynn) Swygert; sisters, Louise Sobies of New Mexico, Martha Urmy of Nebraska; brothers, Clyde "Buddy" (Barbara) Plock of New Jersey, Tommy Plock of Nebraska, Billy (Ernestine) Plock of New York; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter, Martha Dennison Crosby; sisters, Helene Feller, Beatrice Riddle; brothers, John Henry Plock James "Jimmie" Plock and Richard Plock.
