Obituary of Ruth Carter

Funeral services for Ruth D. Carter, 79, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2012, in the chapel of Greenlawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Carter passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012. Born on May 3,1933, in Hoboken, NJ s he was the daughter of the late Fred Kirchner and Gertrude Laabs. She retired from State Government after 20 faithful years of service. Surviving are her daughters, Janice Griffin and her husband Mike, Gale Ballance and her husband Steve, Linda Carter and her husband Rick, Christine Bowers and her husband John; sister, Deanne Henne and her husband Dutch; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a numerous amount of nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gary Evans Carter, Jr and three brothers and one sister.
