Obituary of Foy Floyd

CAYCE: Funeral service for Mrs. Foy H. Floyd, 75, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012, at the Cayce United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverends Joseph R. James, Jr., and Sam Harmon. Interment will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ryan Dickert, Marshall Cook, Matthew Floyd, Justin Labruyere, Rich Adams and Adam Harrington. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cayce United Methodist Church, 1600 12th St., Cayce, SC 29033, or to Regency Hospice, 1611 Hampton St., Columbia, SC 29201. Mrs. Floyd went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Born in Loris, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charlie C. Housand and Daisy Cox Housand. She was a member of Cayce United Methodist Church, Cayce United Methodist Women, the Friendship Sunday School Class, Cayce Eastern Star #130 and the Josie Lowrimore Circle. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Willie E. Floyd of Cayce; daughters, Debbie Floyd of Columbia, Judy Adams (Dicky) of Cayce and Sandy McKown (Jody) of Atlanta, GA; son, David L. Floyd (Pamela) of Rock Hill; sister, Kathryn Hyman of Loris; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
