Obituary of Betty Smith

WEST COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Betty L. Smith, 74, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Interment will be held at 11:00 Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in Rosemont Cemetery, Newberry, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or to the charity of one's choice. Mrs. Smith passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Born in Pomaria, SC, she was a daughter of the late P. T. Livingston and Lula Mae Swygert Livingston. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was a previous employee of the S.C. DMV, Quincy's and Azzardo's Pizza. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Bruce Smith of West Columbia; son, Russell Kurt Smith (Denise) of Lexington; grandson, Zachary Smith (Ellen) and great granddaughter, Bristol Smith of Rock Hill; also numerous nieces and nephews.
