Obituary of Alton Floyd

COLUMBIA: Alton Austin Floyd, Jr., 54, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late Alton Austin Floyd, Sr., and Barbara Jean Jennings Floyd. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Mr. Floyd was a loving husband and brother, who will be dearly missed. Survivors include: his wife of 30 years, Martha Kaye Floyd; sisters, Elizabeth Floyd Holland (William "Billy") and Nancy Floyd Waits (Mike) of West Columbia; also nieces and nephews, Hunter, Monica, Nicholas, Erica, Megan and Mary; also great nieces and nephews, Kailee, Jake and Emily. Mr. Floyd was also preceded in death by his grandparents.
