Obituary of Maria Keathley

Funeral Services for Maria Keathley will be held in the Mausoleum chapel of Greenlawn Memorial Park, Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 2:00pm. Entombment will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Humane Society 121 Humane Lane Columbia SC 29209. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mrs. Keathley entered eternal life on October 21, 2012. She was born on August 28, 1923 in Antwerp, Belgium. She came to America as a war-bride and lived in Miami and Fort Myers, Florida until moving in July 2000 with her daughter to Chicago, IL. In July 2003 she moved with her daughter to Columbia. For almost forty-five years Maria worked in healthcare as a surgical technician. She loved music, people and animals, as most Belgians do. She was preceded in death by her father, Franscois DeBuck, her mother Dymphna DeBuck and her brother, Charles DeBuck. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Denise Caulder and her husband Lee Caulder and her son Dr. Cesar Keathley, his wife, Patricia, and their two children, Katherine and Alexis. She will be greatly missed.
