Obituary of Dorothy Wright

Dorothy Reed Wright, 92, of Lexington left this earth October 27, 2012, to be with her Lord. She was a devoted wife to the late H.C. Wright and a wonderful mother, grandmother, mother-in-love and friend. Her kitchen was always open to all who came there, as was her heart. She was the only child of the late Herbert and Elizabeth Reed. She was very proud of the fact that she never missed a day of school. She loved her church, Cayce 1st Baptist, and could be found daily quietly reading her Bible in her favorite rocker. Her arms held us close and her words give us wisdom, but it was her strength, faith and love that built us as a family. She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Keisler and Debby Leaptrot of Lexington; sons, Billy Wright of Charleston and Randy Wright of Lexington; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grand children. The family would like to thank Heartstrings Hospice and Ms. Lorraine Noisette for all of their loving care through Dorothy's long journey. Dorothy Reed Wright, 10-12-1920 till 10-27-2012, and forever more. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Thompson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel officiated by Rev. Brett DeYoung. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens.
