Obituary of Lavonne Cain

Lavonne Lybrand Cain WEST COLUMBIA: A small memorial service for Lavonne Lybrand Cain, 81, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012 in the Townsend Hall at Finlay House, 2100 Blossom St., Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 520 Gervais St., Ste. 300, Columbia, SC 29201. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia will be assisting the family. Ms. Cain passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012. Born in West Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lybrand and Eula Mae Mattox Lybrand. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. In life Lavonne Cain was a loving, compassionate, upstanding member of her community. She was respected and loved by many. While her passing came as a shock, what she leaves behind will live on though her family and the people she touched. Lavonne will forever be in our hearts. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her daughter, Wendi Austin of Columbia; four grandchildren, Holli Hutto, Jenni Austin, Courtni Foster and Jordan Foster; three great grandchildren, Brantley Campbell, Faith Campbell and Greyson Hutto. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Candi Foster.
