Obituary of Brink Addison

Brink Doug Addison continued his never ending journey this week under GOD?s direction and the guidance of Jesus Christ. The longtime resident of the Lower Richland community was 57 years young. He leaves behind his wonderful wife of 24 years, Karen, his beautiful daughter, Kailey, his loving mother Lola Thompson of Eastover, brother, Ken Addison of Gaston, sister, Debbie Lambert of Tennessee, in-laws, Auguste, Norman and Barbara Culclasure of East Columbia. A US Navy Vietnam-era veteran, BD graduated from USC School of Engineering and was a member of ASMA. He was employed in various power/energy positions that included nuclear, oil and gas, and pulp and paper. We thank our brothers and sisters of other mothers and fathers (Duane, Skeet, George, Bill, Charlie, Dan, Bruce, Jim, Ben, Hank, Joey, Karen R., Laurie, Molly, Beezy, T2, Kerry, Gwen, Millie, Libby and Mary) for their support, well wishes and prayers. GOD?s love shines about you all. We thank the congregation at Lebanon UMC for their thoughts and prayers and our International Paper family team mates for encouragement and lunch visits that sustained his drive to beat this. Thanks SCOA (especially Dr. Tripp Jones, Tammy and Kathy) Duke, Palmetto and Lexington Medical Center techs, nurses and doctors, Palmetto Health Hospice and Comfort Keepers for their efforts. They have been good to us. Thanks to the LR Diamonds ?30? and coaches: ?CAN?T BEAT THE CREEK? A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mr. Addison will be held Friday, November 9, 2012 at 5pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 4pm. The family encourages donations to be made in Mr. Addison?s honor to Harvest Hope Food Bank, 2220 Shop Road, Columbia, SC, 29201.
