Obituary of Gavin Ogden

LEXINGTON—Funeral service for Gavin Ogden, 11, of Lexington will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Northside Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Neal Nolan and Chaplain Colonel Steve L. Shugart. A private burial service will be held Monday. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to John Dee Gavin Ogden Fund at South Carolina National Guard Federal Credit Union, 1225 Bluff Road, Columbia, SC 29201, benefiting Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. Gavin Ogden was received by our LORD on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. Born in Columbia, he was son of John Brian Ogden and Dena Michelle Ogden. He was a member of City of Hope Worship Center and loved attending Meadow Glen Middle School. He was an avid Gamecock fan. His sweet, loving and gregarious nature and energetic spirit will remain in our hearts forever. Surviving in addition to his parents, John and Dena Ogden of Lexington, SC; sister, Sierra Ogden of Lexington, SC; grandparents, John and Cathie Ogden of Keller, TX, Chip and Linda Goen of Rosewell, GA, Jerri Albritton and Dee Albritton of Columbia, SC.
