Obituary of Harold Tymeson

Harold Tymeson Jr. died Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 4:50 AM in Columbia, SC. Mr. Tymeson was born in Chaham, NY. He was preceded in death by a younger brother, Walter Tymeson, on February 21, 2002 and his paternal grandparents, Harry and Meme Tymeson, who raised him and his brother. He worked daily on his grandparents' farm. As a young adult he competed in Roller Skating competitions and had three different partners over the years. He was a Ford admirer and always enjoyed driving the new models as they came out. He was a truck and bus driver by trade with a career spanning over 50 years, retiring at age 75. In January 1951 he met and married Wilma Irene Welch. He is survived by his wife, of 61 years, Wilman Irene Welch Tymeson; 4 children: Barbara Tymeson Mason of Lexington, SC; Donald Tymeson of NY; Janet Tymeson Fleming of California; and Shirley Tymeson Desmaris of California; Ten Grandchildren; Howie, Stacey, Kevin, Todd, Currie, Amber, Chris, Kelly, Jermey and Shawn; and 15 great-grand children. There are many good memories. He was a well loved man and will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Life Springs Worship Center, 5630 Platt Springs Road, Lexington, SC 29073.
