Obituary of Germaine Penguilly Wilcox

Germaine Christiane Penguilly Wilcox, 81, passed away peacefully November 11, 2012, in Eastside Medical Center, Snellville, GA. Born November 2, 1931 in Bretagne, France, she was a daughter of the late Auguste and Herveline Roue Penguilly. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilcox was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Kenneth H. Wilcox, with whom she shared a devoted and blessed union of more than 50 years. She is survived by two loving daughters, Dorothy "Dot" Brown, of Columbia and Patricia Carn, of Snellville, GA; two grandchildren, Melissa McCauley and John Carino, III; five great grandchildren, Logan and Emily McCauley, and Serra, Jasmine and Tifa Carino; four sisters and one brother; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. An entombment will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the Greenlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209, with The Most Reverend Anthony P. Guinta officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home, Columbia SC.
