Obituary of Guy Jordan

LEXINGTON: Guy F. "Bubba" Jordan, Jr., closed his eyes here on earth and opened his eyes in heaven at 9:21 am, November 12, 2012, Veteran's Day. Born May 7, 1948 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Guy F. Jordan and Lois Opal Swink Jordan. He proudly served his country in the U.S. "Brown Water" Navy from 1967 to 1971. Guy, also known as "Bubba", "Daddy", "Pops" and "Papaw" will be forever loved and always missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Wanda Lou "Marmee" Jordan; his children Guy Jordan (Connie), Courtney DeLaughter (Ryan), Matthew Jordan (Miranda), Liz Northrup (Rich), Jeremy Jordan (Lauren), Stephie Jordan; Jason and Tess White; Jonathan Waller, grandchildren: Connor and Keira Jordan; Christopher, Lydia, Priscilla, and Trevor Lovell; Briana, Savannah, and Mason Jordan; Maddy, Muffy and Brennan Northrup; Micah and Addi Jordan; Kenzie, Annabelle, Alli, Jay Jay, Noah, and Zachary White. Bubba is also loved and missed by his mother-in-law, Barbara Peters; sister, Cheryl Rhoades (Buddy) and family; sister, Christie Giuseppe and family; brother, Rusty Jordan and family, and his beloved church family at New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marah Faith Jordan White and son-in-law, Robert Dayman Lovell. A homecoming service for Guy will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at New Hope Baptist Church in West Columbia. Services at his final resting place will be private.
