Obituary of Anita Pack Burnett
COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Anita Louise Pack Burnett, 52, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at the Independent Fellowship of the Living Word Church, 3595 Hwy. 6, Lexington, SC 29073, officiated by Pastor Mark Crumpton. Interment will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Saluda, SC. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
Mrs. Burnett passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012. Born in Winston Salem, NC, she was a daughter of the late Etta Ellen Parnell and James Waldo Hedrick. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and was also a published poet. She was an avid fund raiser for Children's Miracle Network, a customer service manager for Food Lion and an accomplished baker and cake decorator. She was a member of the Independent Fellowship of the Living Word Church, and was known as "Miss Jingles" as part of her clown ministry.
Surviving is her loving soul mate and husband of 18 years, Karl David "Pappy" Burnett of Columbia; daughters, Maria Lynn Meador (Major Chata) of Cerritos, CA and Amanda Mae Turner (Kurt) of Salisbury, NC; sons, Charles Edward Ayers, Jr., (Yasmin) of Elgin and Richard Edward Burnett of Swansea; sisters, Pamela Jones (Rev. Milton) of Manhattan, IL and Sarah Walters (Curtis) of Winston-Salem, NC; brother, Rev. Dennis Parnell (Martha) of Thomasville, NC; grandchildren; Brandon, Shirley, Carissa, John, Glorimar, Nathaniel, Isabella, Gabriela, Jacob and Luke; and a large and loving extended family.
