Obituary of Celia Rivera

WEST COLUMBIA: Services for Celia Torres Rivera, 85, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Woodridge Mausoleum Chapel, officiated by Pastor Gabriel Perez. Interment will follow at 12 Noon in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Ms. Torres passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012. Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Martin Torres and Eudosia Rivera. She was a good Christian mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was very dedicated to the Lord and her church. She enjoyed gardening, listening to Christian music and spending time with her family. Ms. Torres's home in Puerto Rico was covered wall to wall with photos of her large loving family and her large Footprints collection. She will be truly and deeply missed. Surviving are her children, Rev. Gabriel Perez (Rosa) of Deltona, FL, Carmen Feliciano (Juan) of West Columbia, Leoncio Perez of West Columbia, Pedro Perez (Pauline) of Minneapolis, MN, Gloria Perez of West Columbia, Maria Alverio (Jose) of West Columbia; two brothers and two sisters; also many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and a large extended family. Ms. Torres was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
